ELF UK extended its support to Mr. Kuttappan, a former auto driver from Kerala, who was unable to work due to a heart condition. Compounding the family's struggles, his wife also faced serious health challenges, and they were raising three children. Although the family received government assistance through the Life Mission scheme to build a house, the funds provided were insufficient to complete the construction. ELF UK stepped in to help, building the house up to the door level. With additional support from the Life Mission scheme, they managed to complete the roof concreting.

However, the situation worsened when one of their daughters was diagnosed with cancer, and Mr. Kuttappan suffered a heart attack, making it impossible for the family to complete the house on their own. To provide further assistance, ELF UK took responsibility for the remaining work, including flooring, plumbing, wiring, plastering, and basic painting. This work is being carried out by a local contractor under ELF UK's supervision.The project is expected to be completed by the end of 2024.
